The truth is, the kiln has been installed for a couple of weeks, but I was too busy making pieces to put in it. I really wanted to try it out with an almost full load! This is a Skutt KM-1027 Kiln. It was recommended by the incredibly talented ceramic artists (mother/daughter duo) Joan Carew and Nicole Merkens.
Frankly, when I opened it I though “what did I get myself into?”, but the assembly was much easier than I expected and running the test was not complicated it all. The most exciting part is that my home studio is completely functional now!
