Art Fair / Show – First time for everything!

February was a busy month. I participated in my first indoor art show/fair. Up until now, I have stayed away from art fairs because I know the time commitment and logistics can be quite a challenge. I’m also a mother first and an artist second, which means family time on the weekends is precious time. Most art fairs happen on weekends and that makes it less likely for me to attend. However, this was a smaller show and it was only for one day, so I decided to participate.

I found the whole experience to be quite rewarding. There were over 80 professional local artists representing a variety of media. I enjoyed meeting many creative individuals and also seeing people’s reaction to my work. I had many great conversations. Time went by so fast – and I made some great sales!

I’m not sure I’ll be joining the art fair circuit any time soon, but I will consider doing a show or two a year.
